Review:

So, Karina has done it again. This book was so amazing.  I knew that the second part to Violet and Vicente’s story was going to be epic, but I did NOT expect all that!

There was so much action, I couldn’t stop!

The first part of Dirty Souls was not slow… but it was basically just them getting information and getting into each other a lot. Which is cool, but you know me. I love romance but I love the story more. (But that’s just a personal opinion) So, when I hit the second half of the book I was wowed! It was crazy!

Guns shooting, people getting tortured, car crashes, and injuries galore. If we’ve learned nothing else from this book, we’ve learned that “Getting shot fucking hurts” – Ben.

I completely loved this entire story. I don’t know why I’ve never read The Artist Trilogy and Dirty Angels series before, because if this is the kind of stuff that is in it, I need to fix that and read it NOW! Hopefully I’ll be able to do that here soon once I slow down with how busy I’ve been. I need more Cartel violence in my life…. well, at least reading about it. Not so much having it in my life first hand because the way that things go down in this book sound really freaking scary, and I know that they are true because you can totally tell a lot of research went into this book.

I love the fact that Vicente stuck to his guns (literally and figuratively) and did everything he could for Violet. I love that he never got truly villainized. And Violet kept on keeping on. She handled her situation so well. I would have totally given up. Prisoned inside of one of the biggest cartels, being punished for my mother’s sins… something I never had control over in the first place. Crap! Yeah, just go ahead and kill me. I’d have peed my pants and begged for death. How freaking scary. But, Violet stayed strong. Thinking about every next move and hoping to be saved. Which of course, with Vicente as your love, is inevitable. Lucky chick.

I strongly recommend this duet. Like really. It’s so dark and twisted… *sigh* ... I totally need a movie of this.

Another FIVE STAR read for the books for me!
