About Ker Dukey

My books all tend to be darker romance, edge of you seat, angst filled reads. My advice to my readers when starting one of my titles…prepare for the unexpected.

I have always had a passion for storytelling, whether it be through lyrics or bed time stories with my sisters growing up.
My mum would always have a book in her hand when I was young and passed on her love for reading, inspiring me to venture into writing my own. I tend to have a darker edge to my writing. Not all love stories are made from light; some are created in darkness but are just as powerful and worth telling.

When I’m not lost in the world of characters I love spending time with my family. I’m a mum and that comes first in my life but when I do get down time I love attending music concerts or reading events with my younger sister.

I was SOOOO excited when I heard the news that Webster and Dukey were releasing another installment to the Dolls Series. I just was scrolling my Facebook newsfeed and saw the cover reveal and practically screamed with joy!

Obviously that means that I have read the first two, and they were FANTASTIC! They were horrible, and gory, and creepy… everything you’d be expecting from those two.

I received Pretty New Doll as an ARC and just finished it today! It was all I thought about from the time I started it until the very end, and I don’t think it’s going to leave  my mind any time soon.

When I first started the series, I didn’t view it the same as I believe most people did. That Benny was so sexy and alluring. The phrase “He could kidnap me any day” was thrown around in passing.
I thought of Benny as this horrible and deranged man. Broken, but always knew (and got) what he wanted. And all he wanted was to add to his Doll collection. The terrible things he did to people, the blood he shed. Crazy! But, I loooooved it. I craved more. I couldn’t stop reading until the very last word and then I felt a hole appear because, this taboo horror story captured me into a world I didn’t think I’d be interested in.

I adored Benny for different reasons. Not because I thought he was sexy but because I thought he was crazy!

Then I read Pretty New Doll… my opinion of Benny has now changed. I was so happy that he found his Pretty New Doll. His Perfect New Doll. A Doll that was 100% compatible with his needs and his personality. I found myself swooning over this horrible and treacherous relationship that I hope never happens in real life.

This devious duo can not be contained.

Is she crazy to fall in love with someone like Benny? … Well duh! You’d have to be. But, I found myself wanting their relationship to work! I felt like he deserved it after all he’d been through.
I know that sounds crazy as well, but this book was strange. It made me feel like all this taboo stuff that was happening was ok.

So now I find myself swooning over Benny like how every one else has been for a while now. Talk about being late to the party.

Aside from all that. There’s more to this book than Benny finding his Pretty New Doll. This goes waaaay deeper than that.

Benny… he just can’t handle himself. But he’s learning.
He’s got a new friend who’s teaching him new tricks. Better ways to stalk, how to be patient, how to be more careful. He’s taking it slow this time. Waiting a long time for things to die down while still keeping tabs on his beloved Jade. After all, she’s his first love. His Dirty Little Doll.

The horrific events in this book were just that, horrific. Benny is definitely back! And he’s back for revenge and love and he won’t stop until he gets both.

Pretty New Doll was bloody, gory, terrible, sexy, steamy, wrong, and just right. Although, it is definitely not for everyone.

WARNING: PND contains a lot of triggers so it is not for the faint of heart.

**To FULLY understand the Dolls Series you need to read them from book one, Pretty Stolen Dolls.

Luckily they are currently on sale to celebrate the release of Pretty New Doll. But, that sale won't last forever, just like Benny's dolls, so get in on it now... if you dare.

Dear Yara, The bands in London, November 12th. Want to catch up? David So casual. So nonchalant. You’d think we were only acquaintances, that we’d once sipped a couple of beers together instead of tattooing love on our skin and reciting marriage vows. I read the e-mail again and analyze the shit out of it. How can I not? I count out the words: thirteen. The punctuation: four. His name, my name. A flippant, casual turn of phrase: catch up. In the end, there’s only so much psychoanalyzing you can do to a thirteen-word e-mail. I move on with my life, feeling rather pathetic. But not before I e-mail him back. And okay, sure, I don’t move on with my life. What does that even entail? Forgetting? Forgiving? Being happy? Besides, I know what he wants to talk about. I know why he’s coming. Hi David, Yeah, sounds good. Let me know when and where. Yara My e-mail is a word shorter. I’m that petty.   Tarryn was born and raised in Johannesburg, South Africa. Hate To love you Cover Reveal

Hate to Love You, an all-new standalone from New York Times Bestseller Tijan is coming August 28th!

Hate to Love You by Tijan
Genre: Contemporary Romance

Publication Date: August 28th

Rule #1: No hot guys.

It might sound ridiculous. I get it. It kind of is, but college was supposed to be my sanctuary. It was my place to start over. The rumors, the whispers, and the jealousy I endured through high school would all be gone.

No one would know me at college.

Rule #2: No drama.

I’d major in pre-law. I’d make a few loyal friends. Everything would be easy breezy. No one was going to use me or hurt me. I wouldn’t let them.

Rule #3: New year. New place. New me.

And all because of Shay Coleman.

Football captain and quarterback, he was the big guy on campus. The cocky guy in my political science class with a smirk. I hated him on sight . . .

. . . and he was about to break all my rules.

Whispered Prayers Of A Girl Review

Whispered Prayers of A Girl by Alex Grayson released 7/10/17
Review by Ashley Lynn Gill

A tortured soul meets a damaged family…
A lonely man, a widowed woman, a carefree boy, and a broken girl… Can the four come together and help heal each other? Or will fear of the unknown and guilt about the past keep them apart?

Her whispered prayers break her...
At night, as she’s drifting off to sleep, I press my ear to the door and listen to her heart-wrenching pleas. Her words are agony to my healing heart, but I cherish the sound of them, for that’s the only time I ever hear my beautiful daughter speak. Since her father died two years ago, she’s grown quiet and withdrawn. Cat’s Valley was to be our new beginning, a place where my family and I can heal, but what we find there is so much more.

Scars mar his body. Pain has left him in pieces…
Four years ago, I lost the two things I cherished most in the world. They were ripped from my arms in the most painful and cruel way. Since then, I’ve kept to myself, preferring to stay away from the pitying looks and murmured rumors. Everything changed when she and her children barged into my life. It was an accident, and I don’t deserve them, but now that they’re here, I’m not sure I can let them go.

Whispered Prayers of a Girl is a breathtaking story of finding love after loss, before picking this up make sure to have lots of tissues on hand because I guarantee you're going to have an ugly cry with this one.
Gwen is new in town, an elementary teacher and mother of two . Her family needed a fresh start after the sudden loss of her husband two years ago.
Alexander is a very private man, his Scars covering half of his body is a reminder to him each and every time he looks in the mirror of the loss of his wife and their baby daughter.

One Snow storm changes everything when Gwen and her children try to make it home but get stuck in front of Alexander's home. They're stuck , no way into town and the only option is for her and the kids to stay in Alexander's home until the storm passes.
Alexander immediately forms a bond with Gwen's children, her son brings laughter to Alexander again and he can see his pain in her daughters eyes. Will this snow storm be just what Alexander and Gwen need to move on and find happiness again?

Out Of The Darkness Review

Out Of The Darkness by Michelle Areaux

Review by Ashley Lynn Gill

What would you do if you had to fight against the hands of time to save the life of someone you love?

After escaping death twice, Nora lives for danger and the rush that makes her feel alive.

Liam has been given a second chance at life, but he see's his new gift as a punishment.

When the unlikely pair meet, their lives become intertwined as Liam's secret could destroy not only his relationship with Nora, but her life.

Nora should have died years ago in the car accident that took the life of her mother, her heart stopped beating but something or someone brought her back. She only got a short glimpse of the beautiful boy who brought her back to life, his ice blue eyes and black as coal hair forever etched into her memory.  Now she lives with her father and step mother and is just a shell of her former self, Nora has become an adrenaline junky just to feel something and she doesn’t turn any crazy stunt down. Feeling the need for speed Nora races her father’s Porsche but when she hits a tree she sees the same beautiful boy who brought her back years before.
Liam has a powerful connection to Nora, what is it about her that makes her so different than all of those before her? She was supposed to have died with her mother that night, he was supposed to take them both to heaven that night but he took one look at her lifeless body and risked everything to bring her back but will Liam have to pay for not following orders?
Out Of The Darkness was my first read by Michelle Areaux but defiantly not my last. This was such a suspenseful read full of twists and turns that kept me at the edge of my seat wondering what was next. If I had any compliant for the book it would simply be it wasn’t long enough, I fell in love with Nora and Liam and have my fingers crossed there will be more of them to come.
