Out Of The Darkness Review

Out Of The Darkness by Michelle Areaux

Review by Ashley Lynn Gill

What would you do if you had to fight against the hands of time to save the life of someone you love?

After escaping death twice, Nora lives for danger and the rush that makes her feel alive.

Liam has been given a second chance at life, but he see's his new gift as a punishment.

When the unlikely pair meet, their lives become intertwined as Liam's secret could destroy not only his relationship with Nora, but her life.

Nora should have died years ago in the car accident that took the life of her mother, her heart stopped beating but something or someone brought her back. She only got a short glimpse of the beautiful boy who brought her back to life, his ice blue eyes and black as coal hair forever etched into her memory.  Now she lives with her father and step mother and is just a shell of her former self, Nora has become an adrenaline junky just to feel something and she doesn’t turn any crazy stunt down. Feeling the need for speed Nora races her father’s Porsche but when she hits a tree she sees the same beautiful boy who brought her back years before.
Liam has a powerful connection to Nora, what is it about her that makes her so different than all of those before her? She was supposed to have died with her mother that night, he was supposed to take them both to heaven that night but he took one look at her lifeless body and risked everything to bring her back but will Liam have to pay for not following orders?
Out Of The Darkness was my first read by Michelle Areaux but defiantly not my last. This was such a suspenseful read full of twists and turns that kept me at the edge of my seat wondering what was next. If I had any compliant for the book it would simply be it wasn’t long enough, I fell in love with Nora and Liam and have my fingers crossed there will be more of them to come.
