Review: Weeping Willow: Daddy's Angel

Weeping Willow: Daddy’s Angel

By: Steven Evans

Synopsis:

"For some, living is a daily struggle. Their loneliness guides them and their sadness isolates them."

Tortured by his guilt, a man's suffering allows an Evil force to enter his dreams. His life becomes a living nightmare. Memories blurred by reality; he longs for a sweet release. "A release that can only be found in Death."
To ease his pain, will he mingle with the Darkness and surrender his soul?

Review:

This book sounded creepy as hell when I first heard about it. The cover alone was beautiful and creepy and enticing.

I loved the story line. The only issue I had was that I didn’t understand some of the motives from a certain character. Everything was well written and the gross parts were gross and scary, and the sad parts were devastating.

Steven is a new author for me. I’ve run across his name a few times while speaking with other authors and I’ve seen him in a few groups that we are in together. All of his work looks very interesting, which is why I flew at the opportunity to read Daddy’s Angel as an ARC.

I read through that sucker in one day because I needed to know more! Every time I put down my kindle, 5 minutes later I would be picking it up to find out what happens next.
The issue I have with not understanding motives is for the ghoul. She was nasty and scary and seductive. But I don’t quite understand why she chose him and why she is doing everything she is doing to him. You get to see glimpses and have her explain a bit about the past, but you never really get an answer as to WHY she is doing everything she is and WHY she chose him of all people.

That being said, this is the first of a series of the Weeping Willow. So you never know, what isn’t explained in book one might come later. I’m sure it will all make sense once everything is complete.

It is available NOW! So go check it out!! Book two is coming soon.
